.. since monday the 6th.

So. to go back in time a bit....
when we went skydiving on monday, i almost died.
(just for the record).

our trip to gagetown was interesting, to say the least.
we met some very interesting people (well, one in particular) that were extremely ignorant to the going on's in society today, and admist their racist attitudes, i do not believe that i have ever sat in one room for so long without speaking for fear that i would jump on someone and punch them out for what they were saying.

pei. was fun. very touristy. BUT we got pix with the cow's icecream cow, which is awesome!! haha.

Moncton

so we went sky diving the other day in moncton... it was pretty sweet. meghans family has been terrific hosts. today we are meeting with social workers at the hospital and meghan is going to be on the radio today by the sounds of things.

PEI

hey, well we got to PEI today to set up our cyc tent on the beach as well as do some operation plan b stuff. this tour has been tons of fun, we have talked to tons of people about what we are all about, and have had some awesome comments tossed our way. hmmm what else, my puppy is officially a forosious lion. i got a weener puppy 3 weeks before i left and my mom tells me this weener puppy is a crazy one, i am excited to get home and see her. hmmm more abour the tour perhaps...

crazy days

wow what a crazy mess of hours. after a day in st johns we were supposed to be attending the royal regatta. there was a crazy bad storm and the regatta was postponed a day so megan and i stuck around while dania and lisa left to make it to the halifax events. so yesterday morning we left to get to halifax too, a 14 hour bus ride, a 8 hour ferry ride, we are stuck here in sydney cape breton. yay. so we are unforunately missing the rock for sex or something like that in halifax darnit all.

today is thursday (even though the date says friday)

Dear everyone who is out there.
Lisa and I have decided that as we sit here in the “furry”, waiting to drive into Sydney (it is now 2:30 am) so we can sleep… that we love Cher. Not only do we love her. We long to be like her. Why? Because we woke up ridiculously early to drive ALL THE WAY across Newfoundland to get out of here… I feel as though we are being held captive. It must be a conspiracy of some sort. This is what I have decided… (Lisa is not yet aware of my new revelation).

On another note.
Things have been nothing less than interesting.

st john's baby!

aahh! i'm in st. john's! how exciting is this.
honestly, i never thought i would ever not like travelling, but the plane trip was horrible! so bumpy.. so many crying kids (poor kids).. and 9 hrs in a plane, honestly, i never want to subject myself to that EVER again. but alas, it's done with. AND I'M HERE!! haha. anyways.
time to find something to eat.

soon and very soon!

so.. training is done (obviously).
i feel super bad for neglecting this as long as i have been, but work and life in general has been super stressful and busy!

anyways. really, i'm just stoked because on friday i'm planning to spend the day with the cyc group at capital ex in edmonton. i'm really looking forward to it, because i don't start my part of the tour until august, and this will give me a bit of a sneak preview as to what to expect!

and really.. why wouldn't i want to show off one of my flashy shirts ahead of time ;)

Beautiful B.C.

Today is our last day in BC.

We arrived in Vancouver at about 5 pm, and we were on our way to the Folkfestival. At first we were a little bit worried because no body knew where it was.

Strangely, the festival allows people to set up booths outside the gates for free. Amongst many booths we start our mission, spread the word ... not the infection. lol With our trusty box of condoms and our charter people, begin to notice us.

For the most part, people were positive... with the except of one man saying to us: Que sera sera!

almost there...

3 days until the training stuff kicks off the Know Your Rights tour. i cant beleive what we have got done since Nov '05. I met Lisa and Megan at the Guelph conference last week and man, I could not have been happier. When you are gonig to spend MANY hours in a small car with people, there is nothing better then finding out that they are completely awesome people. *THUMBS UP* I think that the response at the conference was great. A lot of people were interested to hear what we were doing and wanted to be part of it.... Probably cuz were so cool:P hahahahah no seriosly though, we are!

Craven Country Jamboree

Well as Meghan said before I guess I'll be talking about the first event.
So the Jamboree was a pretty interesting event all in all. Though me being from Newfoundland it was quite a big culture shock for me. Men walking around in just shorts and women walking around in bikini tops. I mean, it's not like it doesn't happen in NL but the shear ratio of it was astounding to me. But thats neither here nor their.
